“Snipatuit” is a Wampanoag word that translates to “at the rocky river”. It is the name of the pond we are located on here in Rochester, Massachusetts. This is where we raise purebred AMJA-registered Jersey and AHCA-registered Highland Cows. Our registered Mid-Miniature Jersey dairy cows are bred for milk and cheese-making on a small homestead farm. We are members of the American Highland Cattle Association, the Northeast Highland Cattle Association and American Miniature Jersey Association.
We are close to certification and completing building our micro dairy business. Alongside building our dairy business, we are on the fourth season of building our heard, we have our jersey dairy cows in Buttercup, Autumn, Summer, Willow and Brie. And our Scottish Highland breeding cows with Islay, Skye and Elspeth.
We will soon be happy to share our micro dairy products of milk, yogurt, butter and cheese and to share our breeding stock to help other homestead families have their own milk cow or highland cow!
